The CNS Guild takes your privacy very seriously. We do not sell, share or rent any personally identifying
information about you. If you have any questions or concerns about this privacy policy, please contact us.
Anonymous vs. Personally Identifiable Information
Information collected online is often defined as being either anonymous or personally identifiable.
Anonymous information is information that cannot be tied to a specific individual. For example, we
might know that 25,000 people visited cnsguild.com in a month, which is "anonymous" information,
but we do not know information such as the names or addresses of the visitors. Personally identifiable
information is information that tells us specific information about a user. For example, if you provided
your name and home address to us, that would be personally identifiable information.
Anonymous Information Gathered Automatically
Our web servers automatically collect and store anonymous information about your visit including, but not limited to:

"yourschool.edu" if you connect from a university's domain) and IP address (an IP address is a number that
is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the web) from which you access our web site.
-
The type of browser and operating system used to access our site.

Cookies
To determine if users are signed in as CNS Guild Members, we use a certain type of "cookie" - what is known as a "session" cookie.
Cookies are data a Web site can send to your browser. Session cookies (also known as session variables) are kept in your
browser's memory and are purged after your browser session is over. Session cookies are used to keep track of passwords,
preferences, orders, and various other aspects of a user's "session" within a Web site. We do not make use of "persistent
cookies" - another type of cookie that, when used, are stored on your hard drive and can be used to track Web users over
time and across Web sites.
To protect your privacy, be sure to close your browser completely after you have finished conducting business with a
Web site that uses cookies. If you are concerned about the potential use of information gathered from your computer by
cookies, you can set your browser to prompt you before it accepts a cookie. Most Internet browsers have settings that let
you identify and/or reject cookies. These settings are usually located under "Tools" on your browser toolbar.
Security and Intrusion Detection
For site security purposes, and to help make this site available to all users, we employ software programs to monitor network
traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage. Be aware that no
transmission of data over the Internet can be completely secure. We do not employ secure socket layer (SSL) encryption
or like technology.

We may change this policy over time. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on the home
page of this web site so our users are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances,
if any, we disclose it. Your continued use of the site after these changes are posted constitutes your agreement to the
changes with regard to any information collected.
